Youths At the Centre of Actualizing Our Strategic Goals – LG Chairman

The Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Dame Anengi Barasua, says her administration was on the pathway of building strong synergy with the youths as part of the drive towards actualizing the strategic goals of the government.

Dame Barasua, who said this when the Leader of the Bonny Youths Federation (BYF), Emmanuel Finecountry led his Executives on a courtesy visit to her at the Government Lodge, Bonny on Monday, November 29, 2021, declared that “our administration cannot do without youths”.

She noted that she was pleased with the capacity building drive of the current BYF leadership, encouraging them to do more, stressing that this was key to their integration of youths in the area into the developmental initiatives of her administration.

Earlier, Leader of the Bonny Youths Federation (BYF), Emmanuel Finecountry, had condoled with the LGA Chairman over the demise of her predecessor, Late Rt. Hon. David Irimagha, extolling her industrious disposition towards governance, while appealing for increased government support for the programmes of the BYF.

He pledged to sustain the robust collaboration with the Local Government Council, assuring that the youths will work to ensure her developmental vision for the LGA were actualized.

The Bonny Youths Federation (BYF) is the apex youth body in Bonny Kingdom, comprising 105 representatives of the various chieftaincy houses in the kingdom.
