For sustainable development to take place there is the need for the people to adhere to God’s principles of equity, fairness and love for one another as these would fast-track His divine blessings on the people.

This was the admonition given by the Paramount Ruler of Ubio Community in Igbu Ubie Kingdom in Ahoada-West Local Government Area of Rivers State, Chief Ordu Napoleon during the 2nd Quarter Worship by community at the main hall of the community on Sunday.

He urged the people of Ubio Community to imbibe the fear God in all their dealings so as to enable them sustain the peace and unity among them and also to attract the needed development which the people are clamoring for.

Chief Napoleon said that the community can only experience development when the people eschew every form of evil tendencies and embrace the ways of God in their dealings with one another.

The community leader explained that obeying the laws of God were key to achieving greater heights in life, stressing that refusal to adhere to divine principles was recipe for failure, thanking the clergy men and members of the community who graced the occasion.

In his homily during the fasting and prayer programme, Pastor Nachor Eyah, quoting from 2 Chronicle 7: 14, 15, enjoined the people to seek the face of God, noting that genuine repentance was what God needs from all sinners, assuring that such repentant sinners will be pardoned and accepted as children of the Most High God.

The cleric advised that henceforth they should stop worshiping idle gods so as to escape from condemnation and not be thrown in to hell fire.
