Enugu Rangers Coach Ilechukwu Fires Bold NPFL Title Claim: “We Fear No Pressure”
Rangers International is firmly in the hunt for the NPFL title, and head coach of the team, Fidelis Ilechukwu, has made it clear that his side is ready for the challenge.

With just eight matches left, Rangers sit second on the table, one point behind Rivers United, setting up a tense finish to the season.
Rangers Stay Calm in NPFL Title Race
Despite the growing pressure that comes with a tight title race, Ilechukwu insists his players remain focused and composed as they push for the NPFL crown.
“There is no different message; we don’t want to be under pressure because of the league. We take it one game after the other; after this game we talk about the next one,” Ilechukwu said ahead of the clash with El-Kanemi Warriors.
Rangers have a clear opportunity to move to the top of the NPFL standings with victory at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Their fate could also be influenced by the Finidi George side, who will be facing Nasarawa United later on in Lafia.
Rangers Back Themselves as Rivers United Set the Pace
Ilechukwu has shown strong belief in his squad, pointing to their mentality and readiness as key factors in the title run-in.

“They understand what it takes to win. They have the attitude, the capacity, and the character, and they understand what we want. To me, we are always ready,” added Ilechukwu.
While Rangers continue to build momentum, the Pride of Rivers remain the benchmark in the NPFL this season. Ilechukwu acknowledged their strength but maintained that the race is far from decided.
“They are the strongest team, but you never can tell what will happen. We are also strong. In the remaining games, we will fight more and stay at the top of our game but without pressure,” he said.
