Nigerian Artistes Stand Out at Trace Awards 2023 in Kigali

Nigerians across the globe are beaming with pride as their talented artistes dominated at the prestigious Trace Awards held on Saturday, October 21st, 2023, in Kigali, Rwanda.

The electrifying Divine Ikubor, popularly known by his stage name, Rema, a renowned Afrobeat singer, won two coveted titles; Song of the Year and Best Global Artist of the Year, leaving the audience in awe of his musical prowess.

Meanwhile, the incomparable David Adeleke, also as Davido, not only wowed fans with his chart-topping hit “I’m Unavailable”, a collaboration with Musa Makamu, popularly known as Musa Keys but also secured the accolades for Best Collaborative Track and Best Male Artist, showcasing his phenomenal talent and dedication.

In the realm of visuals, the outstanding Yemi Alade was honoured with the Best Music Video Award for her song “Baddie”

The thrilling album “Love Damini” project, won the Album of the Year Award for African Afrobeat giant, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, thus solidifying his position as a musical powerhouse and a beacon of inspiration for aspiring artists.

These remarkable achievements not only bring immense honour and recognition to Nigeria but also highlights the talent and creativity that the country has to offer to the global music industry.
