CORRIGENDUM FOR THE ERRORNEOUS AND MISLEADING IMPRESSION TO THE PUBLIC BY SO-CALLED FINIMA COMMNUNITY CHIEFS

By Kristina Reports

May 24, 2022

The purported press statement of 22nd May, 2022 by the so-called Finima Community Chiefs is a very clear demonstration of deceit and an attempt to subvert the good people of Finima Community of their goodly and godly heritage.

Evans Clement Brown has never at any time been made a Chief and Head of the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House of Finima by the traditional setting and authorities saddled with such responsibility. Therefore, his impression and frivolous claims based on the eccentricity of the Hart House uniform adorned on him by Chief Reginald P. Hart in collusion with the Amanyanabo of Bonny, can never confer on him the chief and Headship of Buoye Omuso Brown Major House. The aberration of Chief Reginald P. Hart and the Amanyanabo which is subject of a court action in suit No. PHC/329/CS/2022 cannot confer on Evans Clement Brown a status of a chief and head of Buoye Omuso Brown Major House of Finima.

Chief and Head, Buoye Omuso Brown Major House/Amadabo of Finima, Aseme Alabo Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown, Kongo XVII

In Finima, presently, the only recognised traditional leader by the Council of Warialapu and the overwhelming majority of members of the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House is the Paramount Chief – The Amadabo of Finima, Aseme Alabo Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown, Kongo XVII.

Abel A. Attoni Esq., being a lawyer knows very well that he is not the chief of Attoni House going by the ruling of the Court of Appeal in suit No. CA/PH/208/2013.  His public presentation of himself as the Chief of Attoni House is contemptuous as he does not have the legitimate basis to presently claim and make public statement as Chief of Attoni House.  Since he does not have that legitimacy as the chief of Attoni House which is indeed a sub-house or minor house of Buoye Omuso Brown Major House; he is equally not a chief in Finima Community and cannot by any stretch of imagination speak or make public statement on behalf of Attoni House or for Finima Community in general.

The uncertainty of the so-called Chief-Elect Dagogo A. Tobin who is alleged to be Head of Tobin House still remains a controversial subject.  Some members of Tobin House are going down the memory lane and historical archives to find out who he is and his original identity and perhaps his relationship with the Tobin House of Finima which is also a sub-house or minor house of Buoye Omuso Brown Major House. This question of his personal identity determination and his alleged and purported election as Chief-Elect of Tobin House is still subject of litigation in suit No. PHC/766/CS/2022. Whether or not perhaps, he is a legitimate son of Tobin House, is an issue the court will determine in the nearest future. Until this is determined and resolved, he cannot claim to represent the Tobin House amidst well known and responsible personalities in the family.

Based on the above personality traits of these fifth columnists, it is very obvious that they are at work to impress and satisfy their sponsors. Evans Brown, Abel Attoni and Dagogo Tobin are not recognised Chiefs and Heads of any known House in Finima Community. They are simply Perekule Palace errand men in Finima clothing, who are being used as agents to destabilize the peaceful governance of the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House of Finima and Finima Community at large. The drummers for Evans Clement Brown and his handful of cohorts at the Palace are still ignorant of the fact that their errand men put together do not represent 0.05% of the home based preponderant majority of Finima people.

Chairman and Secretary, FCDC, Owuna Fenibo and Eric Tay-Brown

For the records, Finima Community is founded and owned by the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House (Duawari), see the judgment of suit No. PHC/174/72. Even the naïve Evans Brown acknowledged this in his press release of 20th May 2022, see  Kristina Reports: https://kristinareports.net/position-of-se-alabo-evans-c-b-brown-chief-and-head-of-brown-major-house-finima-on-the-press-release-made-by-the-finima-capacity-development-committee-fcdc-on-the-17th-day-of-may-2022/. The relationship between Finima and Bonny was derived from the convenience of autonomous communities, which came together to form a confederacy of convenience for ease of administration and development, with the Amanyanabo of Bonny being accorded the role of ceremonial Head, having no inherent jurisdiction or authority over the autonomous communities which comprise the Kingdom.

You mislead the innocent public with a wrong notion and insinuations of stating that the Amanyanabo-in-Council being the apex Bonny traditional institution in the Bonny Local Government Area has limitless powers and without boundaries. That may be your desire, but it is not true. ‘‘Even the lion does not compete with other animals; it is too busy being itself. It knows the truth about itself in capacity and limitations.’’ Therefore,no Chief including the alleged Council has right to interfere in the day-to-day administration and governance over Finima Community and its lands, other than the Paramount Chief of Finima. So, we are also not ignorant of whatever galvanisation being put up against Finima with the use of the alleged traditional institution of the Kingdom.

Unfortunately for these strange Finima breeds, they are desperate in misleading the general public with gross historical falsehood of independent and autonomous chieftaincy Houses existence in Finima, other than addressing the facts.

The subject matter of the press release by the Finima Capacity Development Committee (FCDC) is the exposition of the surreptitious MOU signed-off between BKLCCC, SCD JV and NLNG in flagrant exclusion of the project site owners and landlord, duly represented by FCDC. So, as long as we did not participate, we have the right to dissociate ourselves from such MOU and its contents.

We wish to enlighten the public further by stating that NLNG officially brought SCD JV to Finima on the 5th of February 2021 and duly introduced them to the Buoye Omuso Brown House leadership, as their landlord in exclusion of other Communities of the Kingdom. It was in this meeting that FCDC was handed over to SCD JV and NLNG as representing the interest of Finima Community. There are records and evidences of this engagement in Finima. It is also noteworthy to mention that all the families in Finima are duly represented in the FCDC. Interestingly, it is this same FCDC that Abel A. Attoni wanted to be a secret member/advisor but was rebuffed.

If not for selfish and other ulterior motives, why is the apex traditional institution of the Kingdom silent on the existence of Finima Youth Congress (FYC) in the presence of the Bonny Youth Federation (BYF) and why is the apex traditional institution of the Kingdom silent on the existence of Finima Development Committee (FDC) in the presence of the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC)? These committees are all being duly recognised in their corporate separateness by government and corporate outfits on the Island without any problems. Therefore, if BKLCCC that was set up as a special purpose vehicle for Train 7 project must exist, FCDC, which was established in 2014 in line with the NOGICD Act, 2010, five years before BKLCCC, shall also exist.

Finally, we hereby counsel Evans C. Brown, Abel A. Attoni Esq., Dagogo A. Tobin and other puppets to retrace their rebellious steps and be reasonable in their utterances to avoid creating unnecessary conflict between Finima Community and Bonny Kingdom.

Owuna Fenibo Esq., Chairman FCDC

Eric Tay-Brown, Secretary FCDC
