MY POSITION ON THE PRESS STATEMENT BY MR. EVANS C. BROWN, BARR. ABEL A. ATTONI AND AMASENIBO DAGOGO A. TOBIN – TAMMY M. BROWN

By Kristina Reports

May 23, 2022

Ordinarily, I wouldn’t have bothered to respond to the recent publication (Press Statement) by Mr. Evans Clement Brown, Barr. Abel A. Attoni and Amasenibo Dagogo A. Tobin regarding their joint Press Statement issued on Sunday, 22nd May, 2022 on the Finima Capacity Development Committee (FCDC) and Bonny Kingdom Local Content Compliance Committee (BKLCCC).

Of course, they had made themselves available to be used as opposition on critical issues concerning Finima Community and we are fully aware of where these instructions are coming from and their actions are not surprising to well-meaning Finima sons and daughters.

Tammy Brown

Unfortunately, it is not in doubt that Finima is comprised of Buoye Omuso Brown Major (Duawari) House, Tobin Minor and Attoni Minor Houses. For emphasis, the points made by the Finima Capacity Development Committee (FCDC) was to dissociate itself and its appointers, the Finima Community, from the Press Release by the BKLCCC on the 11th of May, 2022.

Finima Capacity Development Committee has only put on record that Buoye Omuso Brown Major House (Duawari) is the founder and owners of Finima Community and Landlord and Host to the Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas Limited (NLNG) gas liquefaction plant, including other multinationals operating on our land; That BKLCCC has no mandate and cannot speak on behalf of Finima community. So, the issue of Finima being comprised of Buoye Omuso Brown Major (Duawari) House, Tobin Minor and Attoni Minor House doesn’t arise. But rather, who owns Finima Community.

Therefore, it trite to state that the signatories claiming to be Chiefs and Heads of the three Chieftaincy Houses in Finima Community, Mr. Evans Clement Brown, Amasenibo Dagogo A. Tobin are self-acclaimed chiefs and do not have the capacity or mandate to speak for Finima Community. It is also on record that the Tobin Chieftaincy stool is still vacant whereas that of the Attoni, Barr. Abel Attoni has since been removed as Chief and Head of Attoni Chieftaincy House.

As for Mr. Evans Brown, he was only trying to be relevant before his masters by supporting their positions with the pretense of speaking for Finima. As far as we are concerned, Mr. Evans Brown has since lost touch with happenings in Finima Community and may not be aware that Finima Capacity Development Committee (FCDC) exists. So, we are not surprised at his publication.

As you may be aware, Mr. Evans Brown had tried severally to force himself to becoming the chief and head of Buoye Omuso Brown (Duawari) House in Finima Town. If you remember, sometime ago, in one of my interviews with Kristina Reports, I exposed the desperate attempts by Mr. Evans Brown to install himself as the chief and head of Buoye Omuso Brown (Duawari) House and stated that when we are ready, we will follow our process and that we have done by installing Chief Dagogo Lambert Brown as Chief and Head of Buoye Omuso Brown (Duawari) Finima.

Mr. Evans Brown made these attempts with the help of one Mr. Christopher Agaga, an SA to the Deputy Senate President. It got to the point where the youths under my leadership, as the Chairman of Brown House Asawo then, wrote to the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to call Mr. Christopher Agaga to order and that silenced him till recently when, out of the same desperation again, came up with the cooked up funny history about a certain relationship between the Brown and Hart House to fulfill his selfless dream, which, till tomorrow, will not be a reality and will continue to be dream.

Reading through his own press statement that he signed himself, you can observe that it had no letterhead. Secondly, you can also see how he was contradicting himself. In one breath, he admitted that Buoye Omuso Brown House is the Host to NLNG, Owner/Landlord, and in another breath, he was saying that we have “three autonomous chieftaincy houses in Finima Community”.

Obviously, he was trying to clear the shame and the already dented image he has brought upon himself because of the sacrilege he committed in Buoye Omuso Brown Duawari and Finima Community. We are fully aware that he is being used by clandestine and greedy elements in certain quarters who crave our Host/Landlord status with the aim of arm twisting quite a number of multinationals to part with the corresponding royalties/benefits accruable to the Buoye Omuso Brown Duawari House of Finima to their benefit.

Spurred by the associated benefits, he has allowed himself to be used. Whether anyone likes it or not, Finima Capacity Development Committee was well constituted by the leadership of the Buoye Omuso Brown Duawari House and before Mr. Evans Brown came out with his press release, he should have also known that he doesn’t have the capacity or mandate to speak for the Buoye Omuso Brown Duawari and Finima Community.

For the records, like Charles O. Brown and Dagogo Philip Brown had both reacted in their separate responses that they are not members of the BKLCCC. I was in a meeting at the Palace of the Amadabo few years ago as the then Chairman of the Asawo (Adult Men Folks) when the BKLCCC visited, led by Barr. Opuada Willie-Pepple, the Secretary, Helen Pepple, and other members of the committee to brief the Council of Wari-Alapu on their Terms of Reference and the need for two of our sons, Dagogo Philip Brown and Charles O. Brown, as members. The leadership and principal members of Brown House present at that meeting unequivocally rejected the request since they were not nominated by the Brown House as such cannot represent the House.

This was clearly captured in their minutes of meeting if they will be sincere enough to present this to the public domain. So, I wonder where and how Mr. Evans Brown got his information without investigation that these two gentlemen were members and were in a meeting where an MoU was signed by BKLCCC, NLNG and SCD-JV, including allowance paid to Charles Brown and Dagogo Philip Brown as sitting allowance.

As I had stated earlier, you can see that Mr. Evans Brown has lost touch with happenings and reality in Brown House and Finima Community and doesn’t have the capacity and mandate to speak for the Buoye Omuso Brown Duawari House and the Community. The only leadership that can speak on any matter relating to Buoye Omuso Brown (Duawari) is the Amadabo of Finima, Chief Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown and the Council of Wari-Alapu; and any discussion outside this leadership will be an exercise in futility.
