Edwin Odinaka Completes Official Bukovyna Chernivtsi Transfer in Major Career Move

Ukrainian club FSC Bukovyna Chernivtsi has officially confirmed the signing of 22-year-old Nigerian midfielder Edwin Odinaka.

Moving from the Bosnian Premier League side FK Željezničar Sarajevo, Odinaka has put pen to paper on a fresh two-year contract.

He is set to wear the number 18 jersey, becoming only the second Nigerian player to represent the Yellow and Blacks in the club’s history.

Born in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, on November 23, 2003, Odinaka launched his professional career in January 2023 with Bosnian second-division side NK Stupčanica.

He quickly proved his durability and talent, making 46 appearances over a season and a half before catching the eye of top-tier scouts.

By July 2024, the dynamic midfielder stepped up to the Bosnian Premier League with Željezničar.

He made an immediate impact, scoring on his competitive debut during a 2–1 away win against Velež Mostar. Over two highly productive seasons, he featured in 62 matches, contributing 3 goals and 8 assists.
