By Eliel Bluejack

Dec 24, 2020

As the Nigeria LNG Train 7 project nears take off, every stakeholder needs to be aware of the requirements for being part of the project, be it skilled, semi-skilled or non-skilled jobs, ancillary services or core investments.

This is what the Bonny Kingdom Local Content and Compliance Committee (BKLCCC) aims to achieve by organizing a One-Day Workshop on Saturday, December 24, 2020 at the Ibanise Hall, Bonny. It also launched a registration portal, bonnylcd.com for the Train 7 project.

bonnylcd.com is a job recruitment and training platform set up by the Bonny Kingdom Local Content and Compliance Committee (BKLCCC). It offers job seekers a way to get access to job postings from recruiters and also access to skills training whenever available.

Signing up on the site gives you access to the recruitment portal or dashboard where you can create your Resume, submit your CV, and also see jobs you have applied for.

When you sign up, your record will be stored on the database and whenever there is an opportunity, those qualified for such positions or roles will be picked from there.

The site also gives you access to skilled training in the following sectors: Scaffolding, Rope Access, Blasting, Painting, Rigging, Electrical Installation, Wood Work, Heavy Duty Machinery, Insulation, Fabrication, Pipe-Fitting, etc.

Details needed to fill out the training form includes:

  1. One passport photograph
  2. Your full name
  3. Your chieftaincy house/family
  4. Academic records
  5. Your skills of interest (the skill you would like to be trained on)
  6. Employment status,
  7. And other personal details.

This puts you in a better position to be chosen to partake in any scheduled training and/or job opportunity.

Delay no more, rush now to register on the portal.

It’s so sad that the kind of job anticipated for community are artistic related jobs there are jobs that are graduate base and that by this post does not make provision for.a tyoiack example are quality assurance and quality control, cswip,NDT,nace, piping, commissioning, nebosh, lead auditor, planners, torque specialist and so on.
This provision should be made at the conception of the bklcc.
It’s my prayer that we dont get it wrong.
Please make provision for graduates like in toner clans where graduates of the kingdom are engaged to be part of the project abinitio.
