Seventh Day Adventist Church Brings Succour to Prison Inmates

Some help and relief came the way of inmates of the Port Harcourt Prison, Dockyard, Bundu-Ama, Port Harcourt recently as the Seventh Day Adventist Church donated relief materials to them.

The materials including food and clothing items from Christian group, was presented to the inmates by the President, Port Harcourt Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Rivers State, Anyalebechi Nnunukwe, when he led a delegation of the church to visit the inmates.

Nnunukwe, who was represented by the Secretary of the group, Nation Amadi-Nation, expressed concern over the congestion of the Port Harcourt Prison, disclosing that the church was ready to partner with the government to decongest the prison.

He commended the prison authorities for their efforts in ensuring that the inmates were in good health condition.

He said the gesture of the Port Harcourt Conference of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, Rivers State was aimed at giving hope and succour to the prisoners and the poor.
