Supporters of kidnapped Rivers State lawmaker, Princewill Christy-Wilcox have called on the Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly and Leader of the Bonny Legislative Assembly and the entire lawmakers in the State to rally to secure the release of their leader.

Leader of the embattled lawmaker’s supporters, Tonye Princewill Jackmay made this call in a chat with Kristina Reports in Bonny.

“I want to appeal to the 9th Rivers State House of Assembly and 8th Bonny Legislative Assembly to please do everything humanly possible to ensure the release of our mentor and boss, Hon. Princewill Christy-Wilcox”.

Christy-Wilcox, who represents Ward 9, Bonny LGA in the Bonny Legislative Assembly, was abducted alongside two others along the Bonny River on Thursday, September 26, 2019.

Sources told Kristina Reports that the kidnappers called Christy-Wilcox wife and demanded N10 million ransom to set him free.

“It’s very unfortunate that he was yet to be released from the hands of the kidnappers up till now,” Jackmay said.

He described the abduction of the lawmaker as “such a sad incident that happened yesterday on our Bonny water ways”.

The security agencies in Bonny LGA have assured that the abductees would soon be released as frantic efforts were being made to set him free and return him safely to his beleaguered family.
