For family, friends and well-wishers of late Delight Ngowari Noel-Elenwo, which included the Amanyanabo of Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty, King Dr Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, JP, Perekule XI, the Night of Tributes in her honour was an opportunity to express their grief and pour plaudits on a quintessential woman of impact.

One of such is an acquaintance of the deceased, Lady Edith Opuada Hart, who described the late cerebral technocrat as “an expert secretarial administrator, a composite organizer and a reliable team player at work”, who she said “was down to earth in her social interactions with people”.

“She related very warmly with colleagues, treating nearly everyone as a friend, was easy to talk to, always ready to lend a helping hand, and never tired of delivering value, even on personal levels at the expense of her comfort.”

The Night of Tributes was one of the several events planned to honour the passing of this doyen of Bonny and Ikwerre Kingdoms, and wife of the Surveyor General of Rivers State, Eze Surv. Noel Elenwo, to the great beyond.

Lady Hart, who spoke to Kristina Reports shortly after the Night of Tributes, stated that “as a friend, Delight was a confidant who never discussed people derogatorily, but celebrated strengths and virtues loudly,” adding that “she would eulogize the positives in people she related with as friends”.

“Delight was a giver. She gave her resources and time to make people around her comfortable. For those that she considered close friends, Delight will stop at nothing to make them feel loved and respected. She was a deep person. She was either there or not at all.”

Late Delight Ngowari Noel Elenwo was a descendant of the George-Hart family of Captain Hart Chieftaincy House of Bonny Kingdom in Rivers State, Nigeria.
