Peter Obi Floors Tinubu in Lagos State with 582,454 Votes

Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, has been declared winner of the presidential elections in Lagos State by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

The INEC Returning Officer for Lagos State, Professor Funmilayo Odukoya announced this at the Lagos State Collation Centre on Monday, February 27, 2023.

According to Prof Odukoya, Peter Obi won nine LGAs polling a total of 582,454 votes to defeat the former Lagos State Governor, Ahmed Bola Tinubu who won 11 LGAs polling a total votes of 572,611.

Tinubu won in Agege, Apapa, Badagry, Epe, Ibeju-Lekki, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, Mushin and Surulere LGAs.

the Labour Party’s Peter Obi, however, won in Eti-Osa, Amuwo Odofin, Ikeja, Ajeromi-Ifelodun, Kosofe, Oshodi-Isolo, Somolu, Alimosho and Ọjo LGAs.
