Our Commitment to Education Remains Unwavering – G30 Ibani Voice

A socio-political pressure group, the G30 Ibani Voice says the ongoing and critical need to mainstream the educational development of society remains the key motivation for its continued interventions in the Education sector.

President of the group, Dr. Fubara Dan-Jumbo stated this during a Bi-Annual Mathematics Quiz Competition organized by the G30 Ibani Voice, which took place at the Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Finima (Senior and UBE); Bonny National Grammar School (BNGS), Bonny (Senior and UBE); and Community Secondary School (CSS), Abalamabie (Senior and UBE), between Tuesday and Friday, May 18 to 20, 2021.

Represented by the Secretary General of the group, Godswill Hart, the G30 Ibani Voice President praised the participants and their colleagues for their passion for Education, noting that with such commitment the sky would be the starting point for their achievements in life.

At the various schools, Dr Dan-Jumbo urged the students to focus on their studies and personal development in diverse areas to enrich their skill sets, interpersonal relations and networking abilities, stressing that these were strategic to     

The Quiz Master, Fubara Omubo encouraged the students to grow interest in Mathematics as it is critical to every aspect of human existence, saying that the quiz was more about having fun while learning, assuring them that the G30 Ibani Voice will sustain the quiz competition on a bi-annual basis to encourage scholarship in Mathematics.

On his part, a member of the group and Publisher/Editor-in-Chief of Kristina Reports, Godswill Jumbo intimated the students and the school management that by incentivizing Education, the G30 Ibani Voice was empowering the youths to take their destinies in their own hands, pointing out that through Education, their aspirations, whether to pursue working careers or to invest in business, would be achieved in a more sustainable way as Education would afford the needed skills in diverse areas of life pursuits.

In his speech, the Principal of Government Girls Secondary School (GGSS), Finima (Senior), Saturday Eneyo admonished the students to pay more attention to what they are thought as that was the way to success in life, expressing delight in the efforts of the G30 Ibani Voice in advancing the cause of Mathematics and Education in general across Bonny LGA.

Also speaking, the Principal of GGSS Finima (UBE), Lily Hart, who is also the Secretary, Bonny Kingdom Women Forum, commended the G30 Ibani Voice for the initiative, noting that the competition has contributed to improving the interest of students in Mathematics, urging the students to appreciate the gesture by focusing more on their studies.

The G30 Ibani Voice has continued to demonstrate its avowed commitment to the advancement of Education, especially, growing the interest of students in Mathematics, by organizing quiz competitions and giving awards for best performances across secondary schools in Bonny LGA.

It has at different times donated educational materials to schools and given financial support to teachers across public schools in the area.
