As an endorsement of its institutional integrity development and corporate governance emplacement, the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA) has for the third time been ranked as the overall best in efficiency and transparency and the promotion of same around its free zone locations in the country.
In a statement signed by OGFZA’s Assistant General Manager, Corporate Communications, Golda Ukomadu, and made available to the Media on Saturday, September 3, 2022, the Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) announced that the OGFZA was rated 83% in its 2021/2022 biannual report, which it recently published.
According to the report OGFZA was rated highest for transparency and efficiency for the first half of the year 2022 ahead of 36 other Ministries, Departments and Agencies in Nigeria, making it the third time the agency would be ranked tops by PEBEC in a row.
The Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) was established in July 2016 by President Muhammadu Buhari to remove bureaucratic constraints to doing business in Nigeria and make the country a progressively easier place to start and grow a business towards entrenching transparency and efficiency in public service delivery.
As a responsive government agency, OGFZA prides itself in the actualization of corporate and private economic interests and remains irredeemably committed to the qualitative compliance with the tenets of the ease of doing business as captured in the Executive Order 1 (EO1).
