NAWOJ, Susan Brown Foundation Rescue Mother of Quadruplets

A mother of quadruplets by name, Comfort Isaac, who was hitherto in a devastating living condition, was thrown into a state of thankfulness when female journalists in Rivers State and other well-meaning individuals visited and showered her and her new born babies with assorted gifts.

The journalists visited under the aegis of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Rivers State Chapter, in collaboration with a non-governmental organization, the Susan Brown Foundation.

The NAWOJ delegation was led by the State Chairperson, Susan Serekara-Nwikhana, while Executive Director of Susan Brown Foundation, Kadilo Brown, came with some of her key staff.

Mrs. Isaac, who was visibly elated with the gifts presented to her new babies, hinted that she never knew she was with four babies in her womb as all traditional birth attendants she visited told her she had fibroids.

She further revealed that prior to the delivery of her quadruplets, she was homeless as her home was in ruins leaving her with three children and no source of income as her husband had no job.

Mrs. Isaac called on the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, and other good spirited individuals to come to her aid to enable her buy milk for the babies to feed and survive, lamenting that, as her husband was not working currently, taking care of their blessings (babies) became very difficult for them.

After listening to her story, Founder and Executive Director of Susan Brown Foundation, Kadilo Brown offered the stranded woman and her new babies a temporary shelter in her facility to protect them from cold and save the lives of the remaining three, especially, as she had already lost one of the quadruplets to death.

On her part, the Chairperson of NAWOJ, Rivers State Chapter, Susan Serekara-Nwikhana encouraged the beleaguered mother of quadruplets to go for family planning, explaining that it is the only sure and best way to control more pregnancies.

Nwikhana stressed that the need for the family planning is to enable her and her husband, Harrison Isaac take proper care of the six children which God has given them, promising that NAWOJ in Rivers State would continue to provide necessary assistance to her family.

The NAWOJ State Chairperson appealed to philanthropists and other well-meaning individuals in the society to assist the young couple financially through their bank details (First Bank, 3111596242, Essien Isaac Patience) to enable the children feed well to survive, especially, at this their tender age.
