A former Chairman of the Finima Youth Congress (FYC), Charles Brown has disclaimed claims that he attends meetings of the Bonny Kingdom Local Content Compliance Committee (BKLCCC) and collects allowances.

In a telephone chat with Kristina Reports on Saturday, May 21, 2022, Brown stated that the statement as contained in a press statement by the Chief and Head of Buoye Omuso Brown House, Se-Alabo Evans Brown was a misrepresentation of his person and not based on facts.

Charles Brown

“I have never ever in my life sat in a meeting with BKLCC or collected any allowance. I did not even attend the inauguration of the committee.”

It was BKLCCC that pleaded with my Council of Wari-Alapu to allow me join the Committee after I was nominated. But their plea was not granted. The Chairman, Amaopusenibo Opuada Willie-Pepple is alive today and can attest to this. I don’t know why he would want to drag me into this.”

“I have asked them to remove my name from the committee’s letterhead but they have since then refused to remove my name from their letterhead. I wonder why.”

“Please ask Opuada Willie-Pepple, Amaopuorubo Helen Pepple, former Youth Leader, Barr. Simeon Wilcox, Hon. Cyril Hart and any other member of BKLCCC if I have ever sat in any meeting with them or if I have ever been part of BKLCCC since their creation or have ever collected anything from them.”

Charles Brown demanded a retraction of the said statement by Se-Alabo Evans Brown, calling on him to set the records straight to avoid any actions aimed at redeeming his reputation which, according to him has been damaged by the said statement.
