A socio-political pressure group, the G30 Ibani Voice says impacting lives and contributing to societal development remains its focus just as it would continue to advocate for social impact initiatives from public and private institutions.
President of the group, Dr Fubara Dan-Jumbo said this today during a charity tour of some communities in Bonny Local Government Area where the G30 Ibani Voice donated food items to the elderly and less privileged ahead of the Yuletide season.
Represented by the Secretary of the group, Godswill Hart, the G30 Ibani Voice leader explained that the charity tour, which took the group to Banigo, Dema-Abbey, Bethel, George Pepple and Dan-Jumbo Communities, was the group’s own way of ensuring that the vulnerable members of the society partook in the joy of the season.
“We are not politicians, we are not doing this for APC or PDP; we are just fellow citizens who feel that these elderly and less privileged people who are in the rural communities should be part of the joy of this festive season.”
“This is why we are going from one community to the other to donate food items to them because we want them to also feel happy during this period.”
The G30 Ibani Voice, in line with its advocacy for social impact initiatives, especially, in the rural areas, which it believes have the potential of transforming the living conditions of the people, has been donating books to students and schools, conferring awards on students and teachers with records of outstanding performance, financial and other forms of support to educational institutions in the rural areas.
Some of the beneficiaries of the charity tour expressed gratitude to the G30 Ibani Voice for remembering them during this festive season and supporting with the food items to join in the celebration of the season.
Dr Fubara Dan-Jumbo, who is also the Chairman/Managing Director of Davfub Group of Companies, urged other well-meaning members of the society and corporate bodies to consider the vulnerable in the society in their corporate social responsibility drive as a way of ensuring inclusivity for every member of the society.
