The G30 Ibani Voice says its investment in Education through the annual King/Queen of Mathematics Contest is already paying off as the current Queen of Mathematics, Ivan Jumbo just scored 362 in her Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

President of the G30 Ibani Voice, Fubara Dan-Jumbo, PhD, in a telephone chat with Kristina Reports on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, congratulated Jumbo for her exemplary feat.

“This is really amazing she has made us proud. I’m super excited. Biggest congratulations to our own Queen of Mathematics.”

“Yes, she has made us extremely proud. She has strengthened in our conviction in sponsoring the yearly contest, the King and Queen of Mathematics Contest.”

“You can see that the investment in that competition is already paying off. We are proud of her. We congratulate her and wish her greater success in her academic endeavours.”

Ivan Jumbo, whose father, Christian Jumbo, a former Councillor representing Ward 1 in the Bonny Legislative Assembly, is a student of Lucille International School, Bonny.

She emerged the winner of the contest in 2023 and will be crowning her successor in the next couple of months. 

Several other members of the G30 Ibani Voice also expressed their excitement with Ivan Jumbo’s extraordinary performance in the UTME.

Secretary General of the group, Godswill Hart said “Bro, is this not you people’s Queen of Mathematics? The girl has scattered JAMB oo.”

Another member, Dagogo Halliday, an Engineer, enthused “That’s great; Congratulations to the 2022 Queen of Mathematics courtesy of G30 Ibani Voice”.

Also, another member, Sarah Georgewill, a Special Assistant to the Chairman of Bonny LGA, hailed the teenager thus: “Great performance. Our Queen of Mathematics. We are proud of her. G_30 is making history”.

Also speaking, another member, Nathaniel Longjohn, PhD, averred that “This is glorious, a testament of the impact of the Kings and Queens of Mathematics competition. Congrats to our Queen of Mathematics”.

The King/Queen of Mathematics Contest is organized yearly by the G30 Ibani Voice in line with its efforts at supporting the educational development of youths in Bonny LGA of Rivers State.

The competition has all secondary schools, both public and private, competing against each with three finalists emerging in the junior and senior categories.

The winner of the senior category is crowned the King or Queen of Mathematics for a one-year reign, though, he or she can contest only once.

Dr Dan-Jumbo, an educationist, entrepreneur, and career coach, is the driving force behind the G30 Ibani Voice, which membership comprises notable Bonny indigenes who are excelling in their various fields of endeavour.

The ideology of the group is to give back to the community that has bequeathed them the opportunity to have the requisite foundation to excel in life by investing in the academic development of the younger generation.
