Ezekiel-Hart Family Celebrates Austin Ezekiel-Hart’s Elevation, Thanks Governor Fubara For Exemplary Leadership
The Ezekiel-Hart Chieftaincy House of the ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom has expressed gratitude to Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, for appointing their son, Austin Ezekiel-Hart as Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Government House.
Chief and Head of Ezekiel-Hart Chieftaincy House, Se-Alabo Idasonye Ezekiel-Hart came out with this in a statement on Sunday, October 5, 2025 he personally signed and made available to the Press in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

“The Chief and Head of Ezekiel-Hart Chieftaincy House of the Ancient Grand Bonny Kingdom, Chief (ENGR) Idasonye Ezekiel-Hart, on behalf of the entire family, Expresses profound gratitude to His Excellency, Amaopusenibo (Sir.) Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS, Executive Governor of Rivers for appointing and swearing in our son, Mr. Austin Ezekiel-Hart as Permanent Secretary, Rivers State Government House.”
“We extend our heart-felt congratulations to Mr. Austin Ezekiel-Hart for this prestigious appointment.”
“The Ezekiel-Hart Family deeply appreciates the Governor for recognizing and rewarding Austin’s exemplary integrity and dedication which the Governor extolled during the swearing-in ceremony by commending Mr. Austin Ezekiel-Hart for his unwavering commitment to upholding legality and ethical standards during the six-month emergency rule, a testament to his merit for this esteemed position.”
The Country Chief of Bonny Kingdom extolled the new Permanent Secretary’s sterling qualities and demonstrated integrity, which the Governor applauded during his swearing in at Government House, Port Harcourt, noting that such are character traits the Ezekiel-Hart House values.
“This appointment reaffirms the values of integrity, diligence, and adherence to ethics that the Ezekiel-Hart Family holds dear”.
“Austin’s principled stand serves as a beacon of hope in a world grappling with moral challenges, proving that individuals committed to positive change can transform society for the better.”
The Ezekiel-Hart family further applauded Governor Fubara’s leadership and commitment to fostering a civil service rooted in ethics, hard work, and accountability—values that once defined its legacy and continues to inspire progress.
“We thank His Excellency for this well-deserved recognition of our son, whose actions reflect the enduring principles of our great family and contribute to a just and saner society.”
“Imiebam, our Governor. May God bless you, give you courage to always do what is right in the interest of our dear State, and grant you peace.”

Recall that the Rivers State Governor had praised the new Permanent Secretary for refusing to be cowed or coerced into participating in alleged unwholesome actions during the six months interim government led by the Sole Administrator, a former Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ibas.
Information available to Kristina Reports indicate that Austin Ezekiel-Hart, allegedly faced significant pressures to compromise civil service rules and engage in actions that flouted established rules and ethical standards during the six-month emergency rule in the State.
The state of emergency was imposed on the State by President Bola Tinubu in early 2025 amid a political crisis.
Sources hint Kristina Reports that unlike several other Permanent Secretaries, who aided or supported illegalities—such as undermining governance procedures and prioritizing political directives over legality—Ezekiel-Hart refused to yield.
A source told Kristina Reports offline that “He stood firmly by his professional integrity, defending his superior – Governor Siminalayi Fubara – in a lawful and principled manner, even as the emergency administration sought to override standard protocols”.
“This defiance was not overt rebellion but a steadfast commitment to truth, fairness, and civil service values, resisting any directive that would violate the law, regardless of its source.”
During his swearing-in on Friday, October 3, 2025, Governor Fubara explicitly commended Ezekiel-Hart’s principled stance, stating it was the reason for his merit-based elevation to Permanent Secretary, Government House, emphasizing that “you chose to be a professional amid the chaos”.
This act of upholding legality served as a counter to the broader instability, where court challenges (at least five cases) contested the Sole Administrator’s powers and actions, including injunctions preventing his full resumption.
