BREAKING! Bonny Kingdom Gets New Chief-Elect

The Bonny Chiefs Council (BCC) is set to have a new member as one of the chieftaincy houses in the Kingdom has decided to toe the path of progress by electing one of theirs to pilot the affairs of the house.

The Buoye Omuso (Brown) House of Grand Bonny Kingdom on Sunday, July 25, 2021 elected Dagogo Lambert Brown as a chief-elect.

He was elected by the Council of Wari-Alapu of Brown House at its meeting, which was presided over by its Chairman, Inima Dickson Brown, at Finima Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.

An elder in the community, Sodienye Alex-Brown, who though not a member of the Council, confirmed this development in a telephone interview with Kristina Reports.

Alex-Brown, who expressed delight in the emergence of a chief-elect for the House, further informed that the official announcement by the Brown House Council of Wari-Alapu was being awaited.  

Dagogo Lambert Brown emerged as chief-elect ahead of two other nominees, Dagogo Philip Brown and Dima Brown, and is billed to be presented to members of the chieftaincy house soon in Finima Town.

An experienced Oil and Gas consultant with over two decades in different management roles and in diverse service sectors, Dagogo Lambert Brown has a bustling career spanning ExxonMobil and other Oil and Gas servicing companies.

This development is coming almost ten years after the demise of the immediate past Chief, Se-Alabo Yibo Buowari Brown, which left the management of the House in the hands of the Council of Wari-Alapu (House Elders).

The Buoye Omuso (Brown) House has been in the news recently for its promotion of the agitation for host community status of the Nigeria LNG plant for Finima Community, which raises hopes that this latest development would give coordination to the agitation.  

Brown House is located in Finima Community, alongside Konibo-ye-Awanta (Tobin) and Attoni Houses.
