The suspected killer of late Mieadonye Allaputa at Akiama Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State, Ibinabo Allaputa has been caught.

The Nigeria Police, with assistance from the youths of Akiama Community, swooped on the suspect this morning and arrested him inside the Oguede forest where he fled to after gruesomely murdering his elder brother.

Divisional Police Officer, Bonny Division, Shuaib Achigili, and Youth Leader of Akiama Community, Ibifubara Allaputa, confirmed to Kristina Reports that the suspect was apprehended early this morning.

Achigili thanked the people of Akiama Community, especially,  the youths for their support in arresting the suspect, appealing to all and sundry to support the security agencies with relevant and timely information to assist them deliver on their mandate.

He disclosed that the suspect would be handed over to the State Police Command for further investigation, after which he would charged to court for prosecution.

The Bonny Police chief reassured the people of Bonny LGA of maximum security during the yuletide season, asserting that his men were on red alert to ensure everyone is safe throughout the festive period.
