BKDC Celebrates Workers; Recognizes Their Role in Development of Bonny Kingdom

The Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC) has felicitated workers worldwide during the 2024 International Workers Day celebration.

The committee headed by Amaopusenibo Amairigha Hart extended its congratulations to the workers particularly in Bonny, stating that their value is well recognized and encouraged them to use the public holiday to rest and recharge for the next working day.

The committee Chairman, in a statement issued to mark the Workers Day Celebration, explained that the amazing qualities showcased by the amiable workers have paid off and are still paying off as this has made their various workplaces conducive to work in and commended the working population for their invaluable contributions to the development of society.

“We at the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC), therefore, join the global community to celebrate the fine qualities of industry, innovation, integrity, passion and faith exuded by workers across the world and wish you all a memorable celebration.

“We cannot but note that the contributions of workers in diverse fields of human endeavour have made society better, habitable and conducive. This cannot be wished away.”

According to him, Bonny Kingdom has over the past two centuries been an active employer of labour. He noted that the reason the business in the Kingdom has been successful is due to the quality of workers present.

The BKDC Chairman explained that by providing employment opportunities for various individuals from around the country and even outside the country, Bonny Kingdom has become the well-recognized cosmopolitan community which it is today.

“From the days of yore, Grand Bonny Kingdom has been celebrated as a veritable employer of labour, and today, sons and daughters of this great Kingdom are spread across Nigeria and the Diaspora contributing to knowledge aggregation, development paradigms, social cohesion and human development.”

“On behalf of our Kingdom and our dear Monarch, Bonny Kingdom Development Committee, as the kingdom institution coordinating development across the board, we congratulate workers everywhere and wish you a memorable celebration.”
