4th Anniversary: LG Chairman Hails Kristina Reports’ Strides, Cautions on Social Impact of Reportage

Kristina Reports, a Port Harcourt based virtual medium cum online newspaper, has received plaudits for its sterling strides in the four years of its existence and the huge social impact it has made in mainstreaming issues critical to the polity.

Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Dame Anengi Dagogo-Wilcox poured these plaudits on the organization when a delegation comprising the management and some staff of Kristina Reports led by its Publisher and Chief Executive Officer, Godswill Jumbo paid her a Courtesy Visit in her office on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 in Bonny, Rivers State.

The delegation comprised the Head of Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Eliel Bluejack; Political Editor, Iwor Romgbo; Business Editor, Emmanuel Nwafor; Team Lead, Digital Content Generation, Clement Udom; Security Correspondent, Susan Pepple; Community Content Correspondent, Tamunoipirinye Pepple; Special Projects Coordinator, Ibiwari Jumbo; and Interns, Nengi Bluejack and Tonye Jumbo.

Extending her felicitation to Kristina Reports on its forthcoming fourth year anniversary, the Bonny LGA Chairman, who poured praises on the medium for sustaining the momentum of journalistic practice, building a team of professionals and remaining meaningfully afloat for four years, however, charged journalists to be sensitive to the impact of their reportage on the society.

She pointed out that the Media practitioners should be apprised of the important role they play in the progress and development of society, calling on them to upscale their due diligence in information sourcing and emplace the need for the public good to always be the editorial yardstick for news dissemination.

The Bonny LGA Chief Executive expressed her readiness to effectively partner the Media as a way of improving the communication channels with her constituents, while reiterating her pride in the feat Kristina Reports had attained leading to the celebration of its fourth year anniversary in the coming days.

Earlier, the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Kristina Reports, Mr. Godswill Jumbo, who commended the LG Chairman for her administration’s efforts in touching lives at the grassroots, reiterated the medium’s commitment to its corporate policy of due diligence, and adherence to the ethics of the journalism profession.

He informed the Bonny LGA Chief Executive that the Kristina Reports delegation was on the visit to intimate her of their forthcoming anniversary and dialogue series billed for July 1, 2022 in Port Harcourt, asserting that her commitment to the ideals of development was what endeared them to partner with her over the milestone of the media organisation.
