The Social Democratic Party (SDP) says when voted into power in Rivers State, it will obviate the sense of marginalization being felt by communities in the State by emplacing an all-inclusive government to the benefit of all.
Candidate of the SDP for the Rivers West Senatorial District, Dagogo Green said this in Degema, headquarters of Degema LGA of the State during various interactive sessions with stakeholders drawn from different wards in the LGA.
“You are aware that there are communities that have not tasted certain positions in different parts of the State, like my community, Bonny; it has never been represented at the Senate or Governorship position.”
“These are the things that create a sense of marginalization that our party, the SDP wants to change. When you elect Senator Magnus Abe into office as Governor and other candidates of the party into various positions, you will witness what is called all-inclusive government.”
Green, who holds the Ibani traditional title of Warisenibo, was accompanied by his party’s candidate for the Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Ibifubara Willie-Pepple, on the visit to Udekama (Ward 12), Usokun (Ward 13), and Obuama (Ward 14), where they were received by a mammoth crowd.
In advertising his party’s unique governance and developmental offerings to the people of the area, the SDP senatorial hopeful said “Senator Magnus Abe, the incoming Governor of Rivers State, the Rivers West Senatorial candidate Warisenibo Dagogo A. Green, and the Bonny/Degema Federal constituency candidate Hon. Ibifubara Willie-Pepple and other SDP Candidates are on a mission to take the bull by the horn and transform this State to the benefit of us all”.
In his remarks, the SDP House of Representatives candidate for Degema/Bonny Federal Constituency, Ibifubara Willie-Pepple explained that “although this visit was hurriedly planned to meet the needs and expectations of the people, the SDP family in Degema LGA, Rivers State, is making significant growth, progress, and standing tall to take over government”.
In their various responses, some of the stakeholders who spoke pledged their total commitment to the SDP quest for assuming the reins of governance, assuring that they would continue to maintain the political marriage between Bonny and Degema LGAs.
In attendance at the interactive sessions with Udekama, Usokun and Obuama Communities were party stakeholders, among them, the SDP House of Assembly candidate for Bonny Constituency, Howells Brown, Ineye Jack, King-David Clifford, Lessi Susan Naasi, and Warisenibo Allswell Mirilla Green, among others.
