The Bishop of the Diocese of Okrika, Anglican Communion, Enoch Atuboyedia, has called on Christians and the public to walk circumspectly, describing it as a reflection of purpose, mandate, and a life lived with direction.
He made this charge during a briefing held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Bethel Anglican Church, Amadi-Ama, Port Harcourt, Rivers State where he also highlighted key developments within the Diocese and gave insight into the upcoming synod.

Speaking on the theme “Walking Circumspectly” the Bishop emphasized the need for caution and intentional living in what he described as increasingly perilous times.
“It’s important we know that the days we live in are evil, and there’s a need for us to make the best out of the time that is available to us”.
The Bishop also reflected on the journey of the Diocese so far, especially in the areas of evangelism and outreach. He noted that the Synod which is the highest decision-making body of the Diocese will convene in the first week of May to deliberate on critical matters affecting the church.
Bishop Atuboyedia extended an open invitation to the general public to attend the 1st Session of the 8th Synod scheduled to hold at the Okrika West Archdeaconry from May 1 to May 5, 2025 with St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Kalio-Ama, Okrika as the host venue.
The press briefing was well-attended, drawing members of the clergy, the legal unit of the Diocese, the synod planning committee, members of the press, and other stakeholders.
