Victor Osimhen Scores 50th goal, Akor Adams Shine as Nigerian Stars Deliver After AFCON
Victor Osimhen and Akor Adams were both on target on Saturday, capping a strong return to club football for Nigeria’s top forwards.

Fresh from 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) duty, the Super Eagles duo delivered key goals for Galatasaray and Sevilla.
Victor Osimhen Marks Galatasaray Return in Style
Osimhen wasted no time announcing his return after the AFCON 2025, scoring as Galatasaray claimed a 3-1 away win over Karagümrük in the Turkish Süper Lig.
The striker had just helped Nigeria secure a bronze medal at AFCON, finishing the tournament with four goals and two assists.
Back in Istanbul, Osimhen showed no signs of fatigue despite missing over seven league games.

Galatasaray took an early lead through Gabriel Sara inside the opening minute. Karagümrük responded before the break, but the visitors regained control early in the second half.
Sara struck again with a well-placed header before Victor Osimhen sealed the result.
The 27-year-old Nigerian reacted fastest to a loose ball inside the box, firing a close-range effort into the top corner.
It was his seventh league goal of the season, 13th in all competitions and his 50th goal for Galatasaray.
Osimhen played 79 minutes before being replaced as Galatasaray secured all three points.
Adams Keeps Scoring Touch Alive for Sevilla
Akor Adams also impressed, continuing his fine form in La Liga with a decisive goal for Sevilla in their 2-1 victory over Athletic Bilbao.
The Super Eagles forward made his 15th league appearance of the season and calmly converted a second-half penalty to put Sevilla ahead.
That strike took Adams to five league goals, along with two assists, in an encouraging campaign so far.

Athletic Bilbao had opened the scoring through Robert Navarro, but Sevilla responded quickly before halftime.
Adams then stepped up in the 56th minute, showing composure from the spot to delight the home fans.
His display once again highlighted his importance to Sevilla’s attack, while fellow Nigerian Chidera Ejuke featured late in the match.
