World record holder and defending champion, Tobi Amusan missed out on her title defence and a podium finish in the final 100m hurdle race on Thursday in Budapest, Hungary.
It was eight years since Jamaica’s Danielle Williams won the 100m hurdles at the world championship and the Jamaican edged Camacho-quinn to snatch gold.
Tobi Amusan on the other hand, being the defending Champion, placed sixth on the table.
Williams finished with a season-best time of 12.43s to win Gold, closely followed by Puerto Rican, Jasmine Camacho-Quinn 0.01s behind in 12.44s to tale Silver and USA’s Kendra Harrison in third with 12.46s.
Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan missed out on the podium and finished sixth with a time of 12.62.
Tobi Amusan put up an honourable performance throughout the competition regardless of the recent controversies over “doping violation claims”
Amusan will now look ahead to the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, which is slated to take place from Friday, July 26, 2024 to Sunday, August 11, 2024.
Wohh exactly what I was looking for, thankyou for putting up.
