To continue to be relevant in the affairs of this life the inner beauty comprising the lofty ideals, cherished societal values and decency needs to be developed and sustained, the Secretary to the Rivers State, Dr Tammy Danagogo has admonished young people in the State.
Dr Danagogo gave the admonition on today when he received the 2019/2020 Face of Culture Nigeria Pageant winner, Queen Prinye Bristol, who paid him a courtesy call in his office in Port Harcourt.
A statement by Dr Tammy Danagogo’s Media aide, Juliana Masi, disclosed that the Face of Culture Queen hails from Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State.
The Face of Culture Nigeria/Africa Pageant is a non-bikini beauty pageant which is held annually and seeks to unite the world through culture.
Face of Culture Nigeria/Africa Queen, Prinye Ogochi Harry Bristol
24 year old Prinye Ogochi Harry Bristol won the last edition held at the Sheraton Hotel, Abuja on October 5, 2019. She hold a Master’s of Business Administration (MBA) from Coventry University, London, and Bachelor’s degree in International Business from the University of Hull, Scarborough, both in United Kingdom.
He congratulated her for winning the beauty pageant thus making the State proud on the national stage.
He pointed out that youths who develop their educational and internal beauty first tend to stand out in whatever endeavours they wish to pursue.
The Secretary to the State Government encouraged the young people to keep working on developing their innate potentials and character and also taking their educational pursuit seriously.
“I am sure that the judges did not just see only your physical beauty but you were judged based on your intellectual capabilities too,” he said.
Responding, the Bonny born Face of Culture Queen, Prinye Bristol thanked the SSG for the audience granted her, saying that she returned home to show her crown to her people and positively affect the lives of young girls on personal hygiene especially on menstrual health education.
According to the organizers, the Face of Culture Nigeria/Africa Pageant aims at refreshing and repositioning the virtues and values of womanhood and become a vehicle to campaign against social vices that undermine the fulfilment and wellbeing of women such as rape, abuse, and gender discrimination, among others.
