THE TOBIN (KONIBO-YE-AWANTA) HOUSE’S STAND ON THE INSTITUTION OF A PURPORITED PALACE IN FINIMA COMMUNITY

Following the installation of one Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown as purported Amadabo in Finima Community and the institution of a purported palace for him in the Community, the Tobin (Konibo-Ye-Awanta) House of Finima Community by this present express our distaste for the occasion of these facts.

It is without doubt that Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown claims to be the Chief and Head of the Brown House of Finima and moved to the Opuwari of the House being the Chief’s Court and Family House – those are internal affairs of the Brown House, we cannot and do not intend to interfere with but to extend his claimed chieftaincy to the whole of Finima – as an Amadabo and elevate his House’s Opuwari to a palace in Finima are facts we will NOT stand for or stand by to watch.

By culture and tradition, the social structure of Bonny Kingdom, of which Finima Community is a part of, is based on Chieftaincy Houses and not based on Communities, in the sense that, Chieftaincy Houses are represented in the Palace of the Amanyanabo of Bonny Kingdom through their Chiefs and Heads and not ever Communities.

This structure maintains the Amanyanabo as the Head over these Houses – and then, only by extension, the Communities they come from; Communities are not recognized as self-governing entities but the Houses that administer their affairs – and in the case of Finima; the Brown House; our Tobin House and the Attoni House are still under the authority of the Amanyanabo as Chieftaincy Houses recognized by the Amanyanabo who is also the Head over these Houses.

It then becomes absurd for any person or house in this structure to bring out itself and say it is a ruler of any Community here.

This suggests to undermine the authority of the Amanyanabo over such Communities and where Engr. Dagogo Lambert Brown dares this in Finima, he suggests to undermine the authority of the Amanyanabo over Finima Community and elevating his House’s Opuwari to a purported Palace in obvious attempt to legitimize his self-proclamation as Amadabo in Finima does not make it 1egitimate, as he intends. This is alien to the Custom, Tradition und the Constitution governing Bonny Kingdom and all its Chieftaincy Houses of which the Buoye Omuso (Brown) Chieftaincy House is NOT excluded. It is in every respect an affront to the authority of the Amanyanabo as the Natural Ruler of Finima – as a part of the Bonny Kingdom

This is a tool for Chaos and Disunity in Bonny Kingdom – and stemming from Finima, makes it paramount for us to state OUR stand on this fact.

Whilst it may be the culture or some strangers in Finima to have rulers in their Kingdoms and other rulers in communities that make up the kingdoms, this is not part of the lbani Culture – and needs not to be imported in Bonny Kingdom.

The General Public, especially, the Government, NLNG, Exxon Mobil, SPDC, SCD JV, Security Agencies and other persons transacting business in Finima or who intend to transact business in Finima and other visitors to Finima should therefore be informed that there is NO legitimacy to the institution of a Palace in Finima – called Finima Palace or otherwise and there is NO Amadabo in Finima and should in furtherance of this disregard NO such nomenclatures and references to them as legitimate.

Not disregarding these, as expressed, would by itself raise further chaos and disunity in Bonny Kingdom – as these facts are tools to incite crises and anarchy.

There is only ONE Palace in Bonny Kingdom – extending to Finima and that is the Perekule Royal Palace of the Amanyanabo of Bonny under ONE King, the Amanyanabo himself in ONE Kingdom, the Bonny Kingdom.
