Sustainable Security, Our Pledge to You – Rivers CP Assures Citizens

Rivers State Commissioner of Police, Eboka Friday has pledged to emplace sustainable security around the State with a view to protecting the lives and properties of citizens.

CP Friday, who made this pledge via a statement by the acting Public Relations Officer of the State Police Command, Grace Iringe-Koko, also announced that recovery of a stolen car and arrest of two suspects in connection with the car.

The statement disclosed that “operatives of the Rivers State Police Command on 20th April, 2022, while on stop and search duties at Igwuruta Check Point, intercepted one Black Toyota Corolla Saloon Car, with Registration Number KSF 629 FR that was reported stolen in the early hours of the same day at Diobu, Mile One, Port Harcourt”.

“The two occupants, one Garzali Abubakar, ‘m’ aged 25 years, and one Lukman Magaji, ‘m’ aged 20 years both from Adamawa State, were arrested.”

“The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), and the suspects will be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.”

According to Iringe-Koko, the Commissioner of Police urged the owner of the incidented vehicle to “come forward with proper identification and a valid proof of ownership to claim the vehicle”.

This latest catch is another milestone in furtherance of the pledge of the CP Eboka Friday to sustain a bullish posture against crime and criminality across the State and ensuring residents of the State have a secure atmosphere to live and do business.
