Super Falcons of Nigeria roar back as Chinwendu Ihezuo, Babajide and Alozie sink Cameroon
The Super Falcons of Nigeria proved once again why they are Africa’s most successful women’s national team with a commanding 3-1 victory over the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon in a friendly encounter on Tuesday evening.

Despite falling behind early on, the ten-time African champions responded in style, with goals from Chinwendu Ihezuo, Rinsola Babajide and Michelle Alozie sealing an impressive comeback on Cameroonian soil.

The hosts made a bright start in Yaoundé, taking the lead in the seventh minute to put Nigeria on the back foot.
But the Falcons gradually grew into the contest and restored parity in the 32nd minute when Ihezuo rose highest to head home Babajide’s well-delivered cross.

Babajide then completed the turnaround just before the break, calmly finishing in the 43rd minute to hand Nigeria a 2-1 advantage at half-time after an entertaining opening period.

Nineteen minutes into the second half, Alozie added a third with a stunning header, stretching Nigeria’s lead and effectively putting the contest beyond reach.
The result ensured the double-header ended evenly poised. Cameroon had claimed a 1-0 win in the first meeting, but Nigeria responded emphatically in the return fixture to assert their dominance.
