Sim Fubara Storms Bonny for Project Commissioning

The transformational developmental strides of Anengi Barasua Claude-Wilcox will be in focus at the weekend as the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara visits Bonny Island to commission some projects by her administration.

Dame Claude-Wilcox is the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State which is part of Governor Fubara’s origins.

Fubara, during a sensitization rally by the Grassroots Development Initiative (GDI) at the Local Government Industrial Unit (LGIU) field in 2023 had disclosed that his family has roots in the Dublin Green Chieftaincy House of Greens Iwoama in Bonny Kingdom.  

The Bonny LGA Chairman announced the Governor’s visit on Thursday, February 1, 2024 via a statement she personally signed and made exclusively available to Kristina Reports.

She stated that the Rivers State Governor is expected in the Bonny on Friday, February 2, 2024 to commission three legacy projects.

The projects to be commissioned by the Governor, according to her include the Ajealamonia Bridge Project, the Family Support Program (FSP) Women Craft Center, and the Senior Staff Mini Housing Estate Project inside the Wing B of the Government Lodge, Bonny.

The Chairman expressed her happiness over the visit, stating that the people of Bonny eagerly anticipate the commissioning of these projects as it is the third in the series of commissioning in the sophomore year of her administration in Bonny.

She described Bonny Local Government as the Governors ancestral hometown and expressed enthusiasm for the success of this administration after the visit.
