As the controversies surrounding the Rivers State governorship elections continue, the Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, David Irimagha has called on the people of the state not to despair but keep up their faith in God.

He assured that the incumbent Governor, Nyesom Wike will be returned as Governor for a second term in office.

Irimagha told Kristina Reports that there was no cause for alarm as the people of the state overwhelmingly voted for Wike in the guber polls that held on March 9, 2019.

“You can see the outcome of the election. Rivers people voted massively for the Governor, His Excellency, Chief (Barr.) Nyesom Ezenwo Wike. This is due to the projects he has executed in every part of the state.”

“Recall how the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo came here and called him ‘Mr. Projects’, even the Vice President, after seeing the quality of projects he executed. Not to talk of other dignitaries that came fro other parts of the country”.

The Bonny LG boss assured that despite the shenanigans of the APC and AAC, the election umpire, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) will eventually announce the results, noting that it was clear that Wike was in clear lead. He congratulated the people of the state for the coming out en masse to vote for Wike during the polls, maintaining that their votes will count.
