Port Harcourt Stands Still For Mgboisire, Rufus Nuptial Tie

The crème de la crème of society from all walks of life converged on Saturday, November 7, 2020 to share in the joys of holy matrimony with a young, vibrant and humble man, Rufus Geoffrey Edeh, as he got hooked by his pretty heartthrob, former Miss Mgboisire Nkaroijo Ijente.

The blissful wedding ceremony was held at Bethel Anglican Church, Amadi-Ama in Port Harcourt City Local Government Area of Rivers State.

At the well-attended ceremony, the Acting Vicar of the church, Reverend Allwell Fibika enjoined the couple to submit to each other because submission carries grace and blessings from God.

He equally advised them to put absolute trust in God, pointing out that challenges are bound to surface in marriage and other relationships but the Almighty God will give them the enabling grace to surmount all forms of challenges.

The preacher also added that humility was key to success and growth, urging the couple to abide by it and maintain the true tradition of life.

At the reception, Chairman of the occasion, Dr. Kingdom Unwene outlined the principles of true relationship and advised the newly wedded couple to imbibe the tenets of Christian marriage in order to excel.

He posited that though marriage was faced by turbulence, he was hopeful that the couple will surmount all the pressures, praying for them for a successful and prosperous marriage life.

Some of the dignitaries, who thronged the reception from far and near, extolled the virtues of the couple and prayed God to strengthen and give them wisdom to live a successful life.

These eminent personalities include the Ede Obolo II; His Royal Highness, King Nla Iraron, Edeh Ogwuile-Obolo; His Royal Highness, King Naaman Mbere-Edeh, His Royal Highness J.G.J. Adaria, Chief Ofik, Chief-Elect Lucky Ayuwu, Engr. Emiyarei Ikuru, Belejit Ikuru, Hon. Victoria George, Chairman, Eastern Obolo LGA, Prominent Chiefs and Elders from Agana, Egwede, Okoro-Ete, and across the length and breadth of Andoni LGA, and beyond.

The parents of the bride and groom were wonderfully present at the epoch event which has the trappings of royalty packed with glitz and glamour with enough sumptuous meals and drinks served to guests while light music rented the air at the event.
