Police Set To Conduct Recruitment Exams In Rivers
he Rivers State Police Command has announced that the written examination for candidates seeking enlistment into the Nigeria Police Force will take place from Tuesday April 28 to Thursday April 30, 2026.
The examination, which is for prospective Police Constables in both General Duty and Specialist cadres, will be held at the Faculty of Law, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt.

According to a statement by the State Public Relations Officer, Blessing Agabe, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), only candidates who successfully passed the physical and credentials screening are eligible to participate in the exercise.
Applicants are advised to visit the official recruitment portal at www.npfapplication.psc.gov.ng from Saturday April 25, 2026, to print their examination invitation cards, which contain details of their scheduled date, time, and venue.
Candidates are expected to come along with a pen, their National Identification Number slip with a clear photograph, the printed examination invitation card, as well as white shorts, white T-shirt, and white canvas.
The statement adds that the exercise has been approved by the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, and the Police Service Commission, and will be coordinated by the Commissioner of Police in Rivers State, Olugbenga Adepoju.
The Police Command has also reiterated that the recruitment process is free of charge and warned candidates to beware of fraudsters.
The written examination is part of the ongoing nationwide recruitment exercise into the Nigeria Police Force.
