It is the final day of the Super Six Championship Playoffs and It is down to the wire. The League winner and Continental places are yet to be installed.
Eight-time champions Enyimba and defending champions Rivers United will square off in what promises to be an exhilarating last game.
The Championship playoffs began on the 3rd of June and will come to an end today the 11th of June. The competition saw the teams play five games in a space of nine days with a day interval between games, the schedule was squashed together like a sandwich, which stood as an excuse for Coaches.
Enyimba are joint top with Rivers United and both sides would go head to head in the final game of the playoffs. The winner takes it all. If the tie ends in a draw, Enyimba would be victors on goal difference.
Remo Stars sit in third with six points and Bendel Insurance in fourth with three points.
Both sides will face off today and Remo Stars would look to avoid defeat to guarantee a place in the Continent and even win the league depending on the results between Enyimba and Rivers United.
The Insurance side on the other hand has to beat Remo by at least four goals to challenge for third place.
Lobi Stars and Sunshine Stars are both on two points and sit fifth and sixth respectively on the log.
So what is it going to be?
Would Rivers United defend their title?
Would Enyimba carry their ninth NPFL trophy?
Would Remo Stars win the league with the slightest of margins or settle for just third place?
Would Bendel Insurance book a place in the continent?
Who amongst Sunshine and Lobi Stars gets their first win?
