The Nigerian forward was one of the few bright sparks for Spartacus FC on a difficult Friday evening.

Muhamed Tijani shines despite Spartacus FC collapse

Tijani first turned provider, setting up his side’s opening goal late in the game before getting on the scoresheet himself minutes later.

It marked his first assist of the season, adding to his growing influence in attack. Muhamed Tijani now boasts seven goals in 11 league appearances, proving his strong form despite the team’s struggles.

He remained active throughout his 85 minutes on the pitch, constantly trying to stretch the Újpest defence, but his efforts ultimately could not prevent the one-sided outcome.

Újpest dominance leaves Spartacus FC overwhelmed

The home team took control early and never looked back, delivering a ruthless attacking display that overwhelmed their visitors.

Krisztofer Horváth opened the scoring inside three minutes before turning provider for Matija Ljujić shortly after. The duo combined again before the break, putting Újpest firmly in command with a three-goal lead.

After halftime, the pressure continued as Ábel Krajcsovics and Aljoša Matko extended the advantage, effectively ending the contest early.

Nyíregyháza Spartacus showed brief resistance late on. Muhamed Tijani assisted Marko Kvasina to pull one back before adding a goal of his own, offering a glimpse of a fightback.

However, any hopes were quickly extinguished as Matko completed his brace to seal an emphatic win for Újpest FC in the nine-goal encounter.

Bright Edomwonyi made a second-half appearance for the visitors but could not influence the result significantly, with the damage already done before his introduction.

Despite the defeat, Tijani’s performance stands out as a positive for Spartacus, as the forward continues to deliver consistent attacking contributions in a challenging campaign.
