Man Arrested After Allegedly Throwing Two Children From Storey Building in Aba
A man was arrested by operatives of the Nigeria Police Force on Thursday following an incident in which he allegedly threw two of his children from a storey building in Umuobe, near Barracks Junction, along Opobo Road in Obingwa Local Government Area of Abia State.
The incident caused panic among residents after the man was reportedly found lying unconscious but still breathing in front of his house, with an injury to the head.

Kristina Reports’ correspondence gathered that the man allegedly threw his two children from the upper floor of the building and attempted to throw down his wife before he reportedly fell from the storey building.
The two children were immediately taken to a hospital for medical attention. The children survived the fall, although details of their medical condition were not immediately available.

As the situation unfolded, residents gathered at the scene and called on the appropriate authorities to intervene and provide assistance.
Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force arrived at the compound at about 6:22 p.m. to assess the situation and take control of the scene.
At about 6:32 p.m., the man was taken away by the police after he reportedly resisted efforts to take him into custody. He was eventually moved from the scene as police officers continued efforts to restore calm and commence investigations.
The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, while the police are expected to conduct further investigations to determine the events that led to the alleged attack and the man’s subsequent fall.
