It will be noted that the 2023 general elections is quite different from what was obtainable from the previous one as the indigenes were ready to fight for their voting rights.

Speaking with Kristina Reports, a woman, who did not want to be named, told Kristina Reports that the women have been sleeping outside the local government council since the eve of the election on Friday, February 24, 2023 until the results were announced on February 26.

She said in the local parlance “we dey try to secure the results so that them no go do mago mago nai make we say make we stay make Dem call the results. We dey sure say na na the person go win because na him wey all of us vote for so nai make we sleep here dey do security for the election.”

Another woman who also pleaded anonymity expressed her joy as the results were announced, “na wetin we want, we don too suffer, make we too enjoy that Abuja wey everybody dey go.”
