Jonathan Okebugwu Joins FK Dukla Praha as Nigerian Winger Set to Light Up Czech League

Czech National Football League side FK Dukla Praha have officially bolstered their squad ahead of the upcoming campaign, securing the transfer of Jonathan Okebugwu on a multi-year deal.

The 20-year-old Nigerian left-footed midfielder arrives from Baník Ostrava’s reserve side as part of the negotiation that saw player Gilbert move in the opposite direction.

Despite his young age, Okebugwu brings valuable competitive experience within the Czech football pyramid:

Baník Ostrava B: Made 13 appearances in the second-tier Chance National League last season.

Vítkovice (Loan): Featured in 16 matches and netted 1 goal during a stint in the third tier.

Having already integrated into squad training last week, the dynamic attacker featured for 45 minutes in a pre-season friendly against Ústí nad Labem and was immediately named on the bench for Dukla’s fixture against Arsenal Česká Lípa.

Recognized for his explosive speed, sharp close control, and directness in 1-on-1 situations, Okebugwu adds a creative spark to the Dejvice-based club’s attack.
