Institute, Church Partner on Skills Development for Igwuruta Residents

In a bid to develop the skills sets of the people of Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local Government of Rivers State, the Onshore and Offshore Safety Institute, in collaboration with God’s Favour Christian Assembly, is organizing a one week intensive safety training for all residents of the community and its environs.

Lead facilitator of the programme, Safety Chuks made this known in a chat with Kristina Reports recently.

He said, “…the need to raise the bar of employability of the rural dwellers and provide a competitive equilibrium midwifed the programme.”

He also revealed that the programme will raise the earning potentials of those resident in Igwuruta community.

Another facilitator, who spoke to Kristina Reports on condition of anonymity on the sidelines of the programme, said participants will be trained in the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) levels 1, 2 and 3.

She said other courses of interest include Accident Investigation and Reporting, Maritime Safety, Scaffolding, Oilfield Rigging, C.V. Writing, Firefighting and Prevention.

She said participants, upon successful completion of the programme, will be properly certified. The facilitator further advised interested persons to visit the training venue at God’s Favour Christian Assembly, after the Primary Healthcare Centre, Omunwei, Igwuruta and obtain their registration forms for FREE or call the programme facilitators on 08064363455 and 08162873567.
