Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, you are all welcome to this press briefing.
My name is Evans Clement Buoye Brown, the Chef-elect of the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House of Grand Bonny Kingdom. I am the rightful person to sit on the stool of the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House and nobody else. I was selected by the Taa-Furo Awo Royal Family of the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House according to the traditions and customs of our people, the Finima people and the Bonny people, in general, the Ibani people to ascend the stool of my forefathers. I am a direct descendant of Omuso, the founding father of the Buoye Omuso Brown Major House. And it remains that way. We will follow all traditional means in line with the traditions and customs of our people to ensure that the right thing is done.
I want to also assure you people that what we saw on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 in Finima is a show of shame and we dissociate ourselves from it; those working with me and the entire members of the Brown House dissociate ourselves from what they have done. We are assuring everybody including the multinational community that the right person will be installed as the Chief and Head of the Buoye Omuso Brown House, which is my humble self.
We are also using this medium to everyone and the multinationals in particular not to have any dealings with these group of persons because they are mere impostors. When the right thing is done you will all be informed and you will all know the right person to deal with when it comes to issues relating to the Brown House.
I want to also put it on record that Finima is part of Bonny Kingdom. Finima cannot stand on its own separate from Bonny Kingdom and as such we will remain part of the kingdom. We will all join forces with His Majesty, the King to ensure that Bonny Kingdom moves forward and takes that which rightly belongs to it and by so doing our people will be empowered and be better off. There is nothing that will separate or take away Finima from Bonny Kingdom. It will remain so; history has made it that way and it will remain so.
I want to also ask my followers and the entire Buoye Omuso Brown House to please remain calm and ensure that you don’t take laws into your hands. We are working out issues and by the special grace of God in a very short time the right thing will be done and every one of us that believe in the traditions and customs of our people will rejoice and the glory will be to God Almighty, who will make it possible.
