The Chief and Head of Buoye Omuso (Brown) House (BOBH) of Finima in Bonny Kingdom, Aseme Alabo Dagogo Lambert Brown, Kongo XVII, says entrenching a development paradigm that ensures shared prosperity for the people of Finima Community in Bonny Local Government Area of Rivers State remains the cardinal vision of the leadership of the House under his watch.

Aseme Alabo Brown, who said this in a chat with Kristina Reports on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 in Finima, stated that distractions such as the recent security incident and chieftaincy issues in the community would not be allowed to detract him from his vision of ensuring economic sustainability for his people.

“I am more interested in putting food on the table for my people. We are working on different economic plans which when they start our people will be able to provide for their needs. Finima has diverse investment opportunities and we are focusing on these.”

“Different business people are already talking with us on how to come here and invest from the Train 7 to other areas around the community. These are things that our people will benefit from and become economically viable and okay.”

Aseme Alabo Dagogo Lambert Brown, who is also the acclaimed Amadabo of Finima, reiterated the determination of the House leadership under his watch to harness the various prospects in the community to move the House forward, stressing that “Finima is peaceful and we are one people, Brown, Tobin and Attoni; we are all brothers and what we are putting together will benefit all of us’.

On the recent security incident that happened on Saturday, January 22, 2022, the BOBH Chief called on the relevant authorities, especially, the security agencies, to fish out the perpetrators of the incident and ensure they are made to face the law, warning that the spate of harassment of Finima indigenes in Bonny Town should be halted, stressing that “we actually have the capacity to defend ourselves’.

“We have had incidents where Finima people were harassed in Bonny, a very recent one in Oguede Community. We ask those responsible to stop such because nobody has the monopoly of violence. We are restrained because the Local Government Chairman has intervened and we defer to her to handle the situation”.

“Our focus is to make Finima safe, secure and attractive to investors and for businesses to flourish because that is how our people will be empowered. We urge every stakeholder to align with this vision and work together with us to achieve the Finima of our dreams”.
