More plaudits are pouring in on Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara over his approval of N222.1billion for the construction of the main Trans-Kalabari Road from would-be beneficiaries of the road when completed.
The latest is coming from a former Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the State Microfinance Agency (RIMA), Ipalibo Sogules, PhD, who thanked the Governor for what he referred to as his administration’s “signature project”.
“I, Ipalibo Sogules, PhD, thank the Executive Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Amaopusenibo Sir Joseph Siminalayi Fubara, (GSSRS) for re-awarding the original Trans-Kalabari Road.”
“Your Excellency, I’m overwhelmed by your commitment to embark on one of your administration’s signature project, which has suffered neglect by previous administrations.”
He outlined the prospects the road holds such as providing a bypass for the people of Akuku-Toru, Asari-Toru, and Degema LGAs to connect to the State Capital without recourse to the East-West Road as they are doing presently.
“Your Excellency, the massive project is quite notable as it is meant to open up our people in the Kalabari axis connecting them to Port Harcourt without having to go through the East-West road and no doubt this road will boost the socio-economic condition and attract more investment to the region and State.”
He expressed his gratitude to the Governor for the benevolent gesture of awarding the contract for the construction of the road, praying God Almighty to grant him wisdom to steer the ship of the State.
“I’m very grateful for your developmental strides and leadership benevolence, and it is my prayer that God bless you in wisdom to lead the people of the state to an enviable height.”
“Your Excellency, I reiterate that my support for you is unwavering and I will continue to give you the desired support to make your administration succeed.”
The ex-RIMA boss also congratulated the new Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Victor Oko-Jumbo on his emergence, expressing the hope that under his watch the legislature would provide the needed legal framework for the delivery of good governance in the State.
“I, also use this medium to congratulate Rt. Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo on His emergence as the Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly.”
