Davido Wears Jacket Bearing Names of Abducted Oyo Pupils, Teachers at World Cup Countdown
Nigerian music star, Davido, on Sunday drew attention at the FIFA World Cup countdown event in Los Angeles after appearing in a customised jacket bearing the names of abducted schoolchildren and teachers from Oyo State.
The jacket, designed as a form of advocacy, reportedly carried the names of 39 pupils and 7 teachers who were kidnapped, alongside a message calling for their safe return.

Davido wore the outfit during his performance at the global event, using the platform to highlight the plight of victims of abduction and the broader insecurity challenges in Nigeria.
The appearance has since generated reactions online, with many social media users commending the artiste for using his international exposure to draw attention to the incident and advocate for the release of the victims.

The abduction of school children and teachers in parts of Nigeria has continued to raise concerns over safety in schools and rural communities, with calls for stronger security measures from relevant authorities.
