Several consumers have expressed delight over the reduction in the prices of staple foods across the country.

Checks by Kristina Reports on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 revealed a notable drop in the prices of Indomie noodles, a staple food consumed by many Nigerians.

News sources have it that the recent turn of events has seen a slight alleviation in these pressures with the Naira’s appreciation against the US dollar strength, resulting to the reduction of Indomie noodles and other kitchen staples such as rice, pasta, wheat, oats amongst others.

Reports also indicate a further decline of Indomie noodles as the Indomie super pack drops from N14,700 to N12,000, chicken flavour pack once sold for N8,900 drops to N7,500.

The current market prices for the different noodles variant are as follows; indomitables – N7500, Onion – N8,100, Super pack – N12,200; Hungry man – N11,200, Belleful – N11,500, respectively.

Speaking, one of the traders, who preferred anonymity, told Kristina reports that the drop has increased patronage.

“I’m very happy because customers are now flooding my shop especially children because that’s what they prefer the most.”

“I pray it remains like this because at some point, I was going to decide not to sell noodles again because there was no much patronage but with this, I think I will continue.”

Reacting as well, a lady, who didn’t want to mention her name, expressed her joy stating that the turn of events means a lot to her.

“I like to think it was because of me they reduced the price. I like noodles a lot and I’m happy that at least I have something I can take to work now, it’s easier to cook and it saves time”

A minor simply addressed as Bobby told Kristina reports that his joy knows no bound as prices are dropping.

“I am very happy I can eat Indomie again. Every day I cry for my mummy and she will tell me it is expensive. Now, she has brought 2cartons for me already. I like noodles. It’s my best.
