For consolidating on his determination to foster an atmosphere supportive of businesses to thrive, the Amanyanabo and Natural Ruler of Bonny Kingdom, His Majesty, King Edward Asimini William Dappa Pepple III, CON, DSSRS, JP, Perekule XI has been commended by the Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, also known as BonnyChamber.

President of BonnyChamber, Constance Nwokejiobi gave this commendation in a statement on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 made exclusively available to Kristina Reports in Bonny, Rivers State.

The commendation comes 24 hours after the leadership of BonnyChamber was granted access to a section of the Bonny Consulate along King Asimini Bypass (Berger Road) in Bonny.

“We are grateful to His Majesty, the King for his magnanimity in providing a more suitable and conducive accommodation for the Chamber; this is clearly reinforcing his avowed pledge to make Bonny Island a destination of choice for business.”

Mrs. Nwokejiobi further praised the King for his ongoing support to the Chamber, noting that the giant strides attained by BonnyChamber including securing a Free Trade Zone, Scaling up its membership to over 400 businesses, asserting its presence nationally and internationally, amongst many others are outcomes of the support it has received.

Founded in 1983 and incorporated in 2003 as a non-profit limited by guarantee, the Bonny Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, popularly known as BonnyChamber, which is the premier chamber of commerce in Bonny Island, Rivers State, aims to promote the economic growth and development of Bonny Island through supporting businesses and entrepreneurs.
