BKDC Congratulates Chairman, Amairigha Hart, on Appointment as Rivers State Commissioner, Urban Development and Physical Planning

The Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC) has congratulated its Chairman, Sir Amaopusenibo Amairigha Edward Hart, on his appointment as a Commissioner and member of the Rivers State Executive Council.

Sir Hart was nominated by Rivers State Governor, Sir Amaopusenibo Siminalayi Fubara, and subsequently screened and confirmed by the Rivers State House of Assembly before his swearing-in by the Governor as a member of the Rivers State Executive Council on Wednesday 11th March 2026.

In a congratulatory message issued on Friday, March 13, 2026 signed by its Vice Chairman, Amasenibo Dr Tonye Willie-Pepple, and Secretary, Dr Victor Ibigoni Jumbo, BKDC described Hart’s appointment as a moment of pride for Bonny Kingdom and a recognition of his longstanding contributions to community development.

“On behalf of the Bonny Kingdom Development Committee, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to our Chairman, Sir Amaopusenibo Amairigha Edward Hart, on his well-deserved appointment as a commissioner in the Rivers State Government.”

“Your appointment is a recognition of your commitment to service, your dedication to the progress of Bonny Kingdom, and your continued contributions to the advancement of Rivers State.”

The committee expressed confidence that Sir Hart would bring experience, integrity, and vision to the responsibilities of his new office.

“We are confident that you will continue to demonstrate exemplary leadership and work diligently toward policies and initiatives that will promote development, peace, and prosperity for the people of Rivers State and Bonny Kingdom.”

The Bonny Kingdom Development Committee (BKDC) is the body set up by the Amanyanabo-in-Council and tasked with the responsibility of coordinating development initiatives across the Bonny Kingdom.
