BelemaOil, ABEC partner on improving inclusive learning, children’s health

Foremost indigenous oil prospecting and exploration company, BelemaOil says it will partner with Archdeacon Brown Educational Centre (ABEC) to scale up the standard of education, with special emphasis on inclusive learning and children’s health.

It further disclosed that it will partner with ABEC in Its Host Communities Secondary School Scholarship Programmes (HCSSSP) with a view to creating the right environment for improved learning and unraveling of creative potentials in children of school age.

Founder and President of BelemaOil Group, Tein Jack-Rich said this at the Founder’s Day ceremony and Grand Finale of events marking the 20th anniversary of Archdeacon Brown Educational Centre (ABEC) in Port Harcourt.

Represented by the Head, External Affairs, Samuel Abel-Jumbo, the BelemaOil Number One commended the Chairman, Dr Gabriel Toby, and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director, Dr Christy Toby, of ABEC for their bold vision and innovation in providing inclusive learning for even the vision, hearing and speech impaired.

ABEC’s Chairman, Dr Gabriel Toby was a successful career civil servant who rose to the pinnacle of his service to the State, retiring as a Permanent Secretary and later also served as a former Deputy Governor of Rivers State.

BelemaOil, as a corporate citizen has been committed to advancing the frontiers of education by funding projects and programmes that impact positively on educational institutions and pupils and students in primary, secondary and tertiary institutions across the country.   

The company and its founder/president, through its foundations, the Belema Aid Foundation and Jack-Rick Tein Aid Foundation, has sponsored thousands of pupils and students to various institutions of learning, including developing infrastructure across the education space in Nigeria.  

Jack-Rich joined one of the foremost educational institution in Rivers State in celebrating their successes over the years, commending the school for their proposed Diagnostics Centre for the early detection of health challenges in children, while committing to partnering with them to bring the lofty vision to fruition.

On the secrets to a secure future, he charged the students and youths to be focused on their studies, believe in their dreams, and have faith in God to lead them to success in life.

Among the highlights of the event was a Science, Arts and Craft Exhibition showcasing the engineering, creative and innovative acumen of students of ABEC.
