Asisat Oshoala Delivers Brace as Al-Hilal Storm to Massive 9-0 Saudi League Victory

Asisat Oshoala continued her impressive start to the new campaign with Al-Hilal Women on Friday, scoring twice as the Riyadh club demolished Al-Ahli Women 9-0 in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

The Super Falcons forward found the net in the 43rd and 83rd minutes as Al-Hilal responded strongly to their opening-day defeat and secured their first league points of the campaign in emphatic fashion.

Al-Hilal wasted little time taking control of the contest, with Manar Al-Enezi opening the scoring just three minutes into the game.

Al-Bandari Mubarak then took centre stage, producing a stunning first-half display with goals in the 18th, 22nd and 30th minutes to put the visitors firmly in control at 4-0.

Oshoala added further punishment before the interval, scoring Al-Hilal’s fifth goal to give the visitors a five-goal advantage at half-time.

The Nigerian forward returned after the break looking for more, but Al-Bandari completed her outstanding individual performance by adding her fourth goal in the 62nd minute.

Ibtissam Jraidi increased the advantage to 7-0 in the 77th minute before Oshoala struck again six minutes later to complete her brace.

Alice Kosi rounded off the remarkable victory with Al-Hilal’s ninth goal in the 88th minute.

The brace takes Oshoala’s tally to four goals for Al-Hilal this season across all competitions.

She had already scored against Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Women’s Super Cup semi-final, helping her side secure a 2-1 victory before also finding the net in the final against Al-Nassr.

Her latest performance provided another reminder of the Nigerian striker’s attacking importance as Al-Hilal look to make a strong push in the Saudi Women’s Premier League.

After suffering a 3-1 defeat to Al-Ittihad in their opening league fixture, the Riyadh-based side could hardly have asked for a more convincing response.

Oshoala’s two-goal contribution played a key role as Al-Hilal produced a nine-goal masterclass to get their league campaign back on track.
